The vision? A special place for artists who live in Newark’s historic Lincoln Park Cultural District.
That vision becomes a reality this spring with the opening of The Willows at Symphony Hall, a 60-unit affordable rental community with one- and two-bedroom apartments, by Ingerman Developers.
Construction Pros is proud to be a part of the redevelopment of the Lincoln Park Cultural District. Our firm handled the wood structural framing on The Willows at Symphony Hall project, which broke ground in the spring of 2016.
Most low-to-moderate income units will provide housing for the growing community of artists in this neighborhood, with 25 percent of units being set aside for residents with special needs.
This once blighted area has been transformed into a vibrant neighborhood with a thriving arts scene. The development caters to artists with a two-story community room, common areas for congregating, a performing-arts rehearsal space, and other amenities.
The community gets its name from its proximity to Symphony Hall on Broad Street, an arts and entertainment venue listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Leasing applications are now being accepted.
